Why pleated filters are better than standard chopped fiber filters:
6 times the filter surface area
In comparison, a standard chopped fiber filter has a surface area of 299 cm2. A pleated filter of the same size, on the other hand, has a surface area of 1,785 square centimeters—six times that. In practice, this means less pressure resistance. In addition, the average air volume of the Rittal fan has been increased by 40%, which means that it can dissipate the waste heat in the cabinet faster. This not only saves electricity but also prolongs the service life of the Rittal fan.

It is well known that dust is the natural enemy of electrical and electronic components. The material and structure of our pleated filters are carefully designed to filter out even tiny dust particles. The smallest particles that can be filtered are only 0.3 microns. This is smaller than some viruses. In practice, this means that less dust enters the housing and the fail-safe operation of components increases significantly.
