Increasingly complex IT infrastructure requires innovative security systems. Rittal electric cabinet offer cable-free safety technology using wireless sensor networks. Rittal cabinet sensors work in an encrypted manner using the ISM frequency band.
Through this CMC-TC system solution, safety-related information can be gathered into the network management system or made available to Rittal Air Conditioner customers through the intranet/Internet.

If the cabling between the Rittal Air Conditioner sensor and the input/output unit is too complex or impractical, the use of radio sensors becomes very practical and makes sense. For example, wireless sensors come into play outdoors, in hard-to-reach places in server Rittal enclosures, or in places where cables are difficult to lay such as the I infrastructure (indoor) of computer centers. The use of radio sensors eliminates the need for cable laying and can be supplemented and expanded without interrupting operation. It also eliminates the need to lay cable ducts and requires no changes to the IT infrastructure. The test position can be subsequently changed by simply moving the sensor. If wireless sensors are used in Rittal electric cabinet, the Rittal enclosures position can be flexibly changed taking into account the function combination.
By connecting the wireless input/output unit to the existing CMC-TC monitoring system, the system can be flexibly and modularly expanded. To optimize the radio coverage area, an external antenna can optionally be used on the wireless input and output unit. Likewise, the send and receive range can be flexibly extended in the form of repeaters via additional wireless input/output units.
Wireless network transmitters and receivers do not need to have direct line of sight communications, which also increases flexibility.

Thanks to a simple start-up process consisting of a learning module and learning buttons, the sensors are plug-and-play connected to the wireless input/output unit and learn accordingly. In order to be able to determine the optimal radio connection at the installation site, rittal offers you a wireless measuring system with digital display. This type of measuring system has the same structure as the sensor and can be inserted into the place where the sensor is installed during testing.
